Globe Life Insurance Policy for children? I've had a Globe Life insurance policy for my Daughter since just after she was born, didn't really think about it as it seemed like a great idea when I got their information in the mail. My Daughter will be 8 years old this February, I simply want to do whatever is best for her. I guess my question is three-fold, am I doing the right thing with this, is this a good policy to have, and lastly should I continue with this? Maybe one more, should I increase the coverage?
Globe Life Insurance Questions? Globe life insurance, where you can get a 50,000 policy without an exam. Do they actually payout. Can you get more than one policy on the same person with globe life?
Globe Life Insurance?? Does anyone know if Globe Life Insurance (the one that advertises $1 buys your first month's premium) has a limited benefit factor? In other words, if the insured person dies within 1 or 2 years after the policy is bought, will the beneficiary get the total policy amount (ex. $10,000) or only the total amount from premiums paid? Thanks.
If you know a lot about life insurance (especially Globe), please read & respond? My mother has Globe life insurance (not the one that expires, I believe it's whole life). She is 71 now. She's had it over 2 years, maybe 3. She's thinking of raising the policy amount (since things are getting so high these says). She was healthy when she started the life insurance. Now, she has COPD. She gets things in the mail stating she can raise it, but that's one of the questions (if COPD is now present). Do you know how much more this would raise her monthly premium, than it would be if she did not have COPD? How much of an issue is this? Any info of this is apprecited. Thanks!
Is Globe life insurance any good? I requested info from them, and after looking at their brochure, I think I would like to sign up for it. Is it really any good?? And if you make your child the direct benificery of the ins., how do they get it if they are a minor??
How to find the insurance agent who? My uncle just passed, and we are unable to find the insurance agent he had said to contact in the event of his death. His name is Steve (or Steven) Gardner and supposed to be with Globe Life Insurance. Any ideas? We've done several searches without luck.
How important is Home Insurance? I'm in the process of buying my first house and don't know if I need insurance. A friend told me about Globe Life Insurance..any advice?
Picking life Insurance? Do a lot of people have life insurance? I never thought about it but I want to make sure my family is taken care of..you never know what can happen. A friend recently told me about Globe Life and Accident Insurance. Anyone have any info?
Does anyone have an 800 # for Globe Life? I applied for $20,000 life insurance on my husband and believe that I was treated unfairly due to his age which, is NOT supposed to be a problem according to their adverts. Hummmmm, he was treated and released from ER about 3 months ago for ACID REFLUX that made his chest hurt....NO Heart Attack, No Heart Disease, Only Acid Reflux!! Med prescribed was simply Nexium. We were sold a policy but NOT for the $20,000 that we need, the policy is for a measley $5,000. That will not bury anyone these days. How does Globe Life get the authority to ck YES on the questionaire to heart attack and heart disease when there has been none and I can prove this. They have taken it upon themselves to diagnose my husband!!!! This is wrong and I am considering calling an attorney about this matter. My husband has never had a heart attack not ever!!! I will keep this measley policy, just in case but, I am looking elsewhere and I am sure I am in my rights to have an attorney ck this out...????

What is a good life insurance company? I have been looking into Garden State and Globe. Do any of you use them? Who do you use as your life insurance holder? I am going to look around Monday with local companies but I have been looking around online. It will be for myself, my husband, and your 1 year old daughter(only a small one in case something happened and it would be for burial).
Life Insurance for Children? My husband wants us to get life insurance for our three kids. It's through Globe Life and is called the young American plan. It's a whole life insurance policy. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. Does anyone know anything about whole life insurance policies or anything about the cash value. If you cancel them, do you get a penalty, or can you get your full amount of premiums you have paid into them? Any thoughts or info on this?
My Mother is 79 Years old and Had a Whole Life Insurance? Policy with Globe Life for over 20 years. I enquired today via email with Globe Life about taking out a Life Insurance policy on myself and was told this Policy expires at age 80. I said so what you are saying is really this Insurance called Whole or Permanent Life Insurance is really Term Life Insurance and you can pay into it all those years and if you live past 80, it terminates.. Did you Know??? You can go to the Globe Permanent Whole Life Insurance Website and read the details on it and it says it terminates at age 80. This is really confusing to Policy Holders when they think as long as they pay their premiums, they are "permanently" no age limit, protected.
Life insurance for an elderly sick parent?? I want to buy some life insurance for my dad. He is 59 years old and is a stroke victim. He doesn't live with me he lives in an assisted living facility. Is there an affordable life insurance policy that I can buy for him? I tried Globe Life but they rejected him due to his history of stroke and high blood pressure. I am trying to find something that is very very affordable because I will have to be paying for this myself along with my own personal bills. Thanks
Globe Life & Accident Ins. Co.? Does anyone have any comments about Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company; good or bad? Are their rates for real? I just turned 18 and I want to get on top of things; get everything straightened out right now. Do the rates really stay the same for life, no matter what changes happen, and is it really a "pay nothing today" deal? On the monthly rate according to age chart, it shows that my monthly rate would be just $15.99 for a $25,000 plan. Any guesses on what the first premium might be? I've never heard of this company until today when I received it in the mail. Will it be accepted everywhere? If not, then what?
Will Life Insurance Pay on day of being decease? Ok. We found out that my step dad had a policy for "Globe and Life" for $10000. But he got 3 months behind on insurance. So, once he go his SSI check I paid with my money on 5th of Nov at 10:10pm. Come to find out that he went to the emergency room on the 4th Nov @ 7pm then they sent him to ICU. Death Certificate says Heart Attack (short illness). We the family did not know he was in hospital. Because the hospital had no information of next immediate known of contact to call because of his close family is across many states. And half of family we did not know. So, he pass on Nov 5 @ 10:50pm. Will his policy still be affected? Because, when I paid on Nov 5 @ 10:10pm; I paid for 3 months (2 months of when he was behind & Dec. payment). Do anyone know if the funeral expenses will be paid by the life insurance? Because, we just found out that his cremation is $4500. We have no money to pay that. Note: He had the insurance since 8/2007. Paid good until Sept 2010. He didn't pay Sept, Oct. I paid Nov up to december 2010.
Question about Insurance loan HELP? I've recently took out a loan that has been mailed out since about 7 days ago. I live in Chicago & the mail has been down hill lately. There has been people bringing our mail that lives several blocks away. Honestly I can't sit & trust that someone will bring me my check if it's been delivered by now. Is there any other way i can receive cash from my loan? I want to have the check canceled if there's a more reliable way to get my cash than through the mail. Please help me. I have Globe Life Insurance. To make a long story short, When should I start to worry? The check has been in the mail since last Tuesday.
What kind of college savings plan is best for a baby that was just born? I recently had a little bundle of joy light up my life and with all the hectic stuff that's gone on since, I have finally had some time to sit down and think clearly. My first priority is getting my daughter life insurance and health insurance. For now, she has Healthy Families so that's ok I guess. And I got her the Globe Life Insurance. Now, my next step is searching for some way to save for her college. I know of only putting money in the bank, but else is there for starting out a college fund. What are my options when selecting what's best for my daughter's educational future.?
Is Michael Moore a Moron or does that title belong to Roman Polanski? Friday, October 2, 2009 MOVIE REVIEW: 'Capitalism: A Love Story' Sonny Bunch Michael Moore's new film, "Capitalism: A Love Story," chronicles the galling excesses of our modern economy in brutal detail, jumping from home foreclosures to businesses cashing in on life insurance policies they had taken out on their dead employees to bank bailouts to million-dollar-bonuses paid out to executives of failed banks. As he comes to a crashing, triumphant crescendo, the merry prankster of modern moviemaking says he wants to get rid of capitalism and replace it with a better, fairer, more just system — democracy! Democracy? It's a head scratcher. One doesn't replace an economic system with a political system. Saying you want to replace "capitalism" with "democracy" is like saying you want to replace "public transit" with "puppy dogs." It's not quite right. It's obvious why he chose such a malapropism: "Socialism" is what Mr. Moore is really after, but that's a far more disturbing word to the average American. He wants to replace one sacred-yet-secular American word (capitalism) with another sacred-yet-secular American word (democracy), fully obscuring that neither word means anything close to its dictionary definition in Mr. Moore's worldview. To Mr. Moore, capitalism isn't an economic system that has delivered billions around the globe from poverty and subsistence existences by virtue of the profit motive. No, to him, capitalism is an exploitative sham, an economic system designed to deliver money from the poor into the hands of the wealthy. If he had stuck to the recent bailouts of the banking industry, he might have had a point. Unfortunately, he spends much of the movie flying far afield of that travesty. And that's the main problem with Mr. Moore's movie: His focus is too diffuse, his aim too scattershot. It's old hat for the director to argue only one side of the story, but this is the first time he has so blatantly failed to focus on the primary issue at hand, flailing, instead, at all the wrong targets. Consider Mr. Moore's take on the foreclosure crisis: He sympathetically portrays two families who have gone through foreclosed after failing to meet their repayment obligations. Foreclosure is a terrible thing, something no family should have to suffer — unless, of course, they fail to repay the money that has been lent to them. Credit is a bedrock of capitalism, but credit comes with certain responsibilities. Banks are not charitable institutions, and there have to be consequences for failing to pay back the money they advance. The subprime loan crisis was caused only in part by banks lending money to unqualified borrowers: No less complicit were the irresponsible citizens who took out far more money than they could afford on terms they could not possibly understand. In a way, Mr. Moore and his ilk are the ones ultimately responsible for this crisis. By turning homeownership into a basic societal entitlement — irrespective of credit-worthiness — they encouraged the poor to borrow recklessly and leaned on lenders to give money even more recklessly. Mr. Moore's suggested solutions to the crisis of capitalism are almost as absurd as his diagnoses. As the film draws to a close, he asks us to reconsider Franklin D. Roosevelt's second bill of rights, and one of those rights in particular jumps out: the guarantee of a job with a "living wage." This has been a constant bugaboo of Mr. Moore's. He thinks General Motors Corp. — faced with competition from cheaper, better, more fuel-efficient vehicles from Japan and elsewhere — has shot itself in the foot. Not because it refused to build better cars or agreed to a back-breaking deal with the labor unions that made the cars too expensive, mind you. No, Mr. Moore seems to think GM has come to ruin because it has laid off too many employees, leaving the once thriving cities of the Midwest, including his hometown, Flint, Mich., wastelands with no business prospects. Let us think about this for a moment, shall we? GM automobiles are too expensive and too fuel-inefficient. They carry massive legacy costs providing health care benefits and pensions to both current and past employees of now-defunct plants. Increased plant efficiency and decreased need for labor are trumped by union demands to preserve jobs, resulting in excess workers collecting most of their pay for what amounts to make-work. Yet GM should guarantee these people's jobs and gold-plated benefits? Or the government should step in and subsidize inefficient companies to pay now-redundant employees? Mr. Moore has always been long on provocative questions and short on answers. "Capitalism" is no different: He suggests a bright and shiny future without adequately examining the likely consequences of such a future or offering much in the way of proposals for bringing it to life — other than sophomoric pranks like showing up at a bank headquarters to

Why are the U.S. taxpayers bailing out "Wall Street" and private investors, banks, insurance companies? America has always stated it is for free markets, make or break it on your own merits, sink or swim, government out of the lives of business and industry etc...etc...! What happened to capitalism? What's all this bail me out, help me, I made bad decisions, so the taxpayers should give me my money back so I can retire with money I blew on Wall Street and within private investment firms making bad decisions! Lets be National Socialists like Adolf Hitler...then after I get my money back, lets go back to saying we are once-again, self-made , successful individuals who made our money through hard work and good decisions while the common American peasants lose their homes and jobs in the duration. Common on , Congress, help us put the screws to the American taxpayers, while bailing us out! Give us the trillion dollars now and later we will get another 3 or 4 trillion and make the U.S. National debt 14 or 15 trillion dollars....who's counting anyway, by the way we need to also bail out those foreign banks in the process, they deserve the money more than the American people who are just low-life fools, born here to pay our debts and those from around the globe who need help! There is no fool like a natural born American fool, right? Wall Street and those that control it, just snap their fingers and the U.S. Congress comes running saying...yes, MASTER, how may we help you? The Federal Reserve is nothing more than a private banking organization that has fleeced America of its jobs and wealth and those who are a part of it are clearly Anti-American! Why not just give Wall Street all the money from every American and let them lose that too! Remember, they already wanted money from Social Security for investment purposes....I am not hearing much about that sad, pathetic joke at this time, how come? America has become a Socialistic State very similar to Nazi Germany in the 1930-40's! Wall Street has become a bunch of Goose-steppin morons, marching to the tune of disaster once again! America and fellow Americans on "Wall Street" have turned out to be very greedy idiots and our nations worst enemies concerning our economy! America has become a ship of fools, crashing on the rocks, with the "Rats" attempting to jump ship with whatever money they can get from the U.S. Congress leaving the American taxpayer and future generations holding an empty bag, with nothing but trillions of dollars of IOU notes! Who's solution is worse, McCain or Obama or are they tied, they both have no answer, you tell me your opinion, should there be a truthful answer and solution, short of a complete insurection? You give me the answer! Nate Wonder, that is a good idea, but the corporations will just hide profits so they do not have to pay anything back even if their profits were in the trillions, where the problem is corporations and those in charge of them do not give a hoot if a fellow American lives or dies, sits or rots...greed is their God, not profits, they want it all and take personal pleasure watching others go without giving them a sense of power & control! The average American people can go to hell as far as they are concerned! It is like that all around the globe!
How is my global warming essay? Satire: Please tell me how good it is, thanks :) As humans release more carbon dioxide, air pollution, and fossil fuel exhaust into the air, it is eminent that global warming is likely to occur. These “impurities” causes the sun to activate the greenhouse effect upon which global warming is the heating of the globe, thus the polar ice caps in Antarctica shall melt and create a monstrous amount of water that will approach nearby civilizations at a rate of approximately 50 mph. 20% of those who are to drown are people, 30% are those who can’t swim, the other 50% are children and midgets. Insurance companies will demand more money to cover you for the apocalypse and teaching swimming lessons will only waste time. Life as we know it will cease to exist. In order for such epidemics to be avoided, there are possible ways to counter. First off, since global warming will not happen until two generations past us, humanity should be advised that their great grandchildren will suffer the consequences. However, there is a solution to this: we must all stop giving birth to children, starting today and there will be no more concern for them once we all die off and become extinct. Also, birth control will be beneficial to the world as there will be no more mouths to feed and the starving children of Africa will have something to eat. Abortions and adoptions shall never take place, which means there will be no more people who are persecuted for being “exhausted”. Since their owners no longer have children, pets shouldn’t either, so have them be fixed or spayed. Thus, the entire animal kingdom should be fixed or spayed. Once this is done, we wouldn’t have to worry about overpopulation anymore. How beneficial. Another solution, if the one above is too difficult for people (especially young people), is to build an ark. Regardless of how many trees help prevent carbon dioxide to be within the air and give us oxygen, global warming will destroy them all, so I suggest bringing together all the lumberjacks who could be scouted, cutting down the trees of the world, since there is no other use for them. Noah’s ark took over 100 years to build with all those trees he had to lop off himself. Now that we live in a world of technology, we can build a universal ark even faster than Noah’s sawing methods. Approximately 55,000 Redwood trees from Sequoia National Park in California will be enough wood for the ark as well as the dimensions: at least 1500 meters long, 350 meters wide 230 meters high. Board the ship with only polar bears, penguins, seals, and Eskimos, since they will face the disaster first. Humanity will board as is. To prevent any casualties within the ark, throw overboard any criminals, terror suspects, and insane psychopaths for a more luxurious cruise. To keep the ride entertaining, I suggest adding an outside pool on deck big enough for the whole world to swim in. Add an inside dining hall with famous chefs, live shows from stars, and a suite for you and your family. If it does not suit you to drown the infidels, then perhaps build a dungeon in the ark and employ them for manual labor, as well as anyone who does not follow the rules. Enjoy your stay for eternity! For those of you who find that leaving your homes and possessions unbearable, (as I must admit there is no place like home) may pool your life time supply of insurance to one gigantic amount of money to help build a rocket ship launched towards the sun to destroy it and prevent it from causing global warming. The sun’s heat temperature is approximately 15 million degrees, thus anything approaching will instantly be disintegrated. To prevent that from happening, I suggest humanity fill the rocket ship with 1392000000000 liters of liquid helium reduced to absolute zero which freezes anything. Once NASA launches the rocket, it will head towards the sun and as the sun’s rays destroy the surface of the ship, the liquid helium will be released onto to sun’s surface. Right at that moment the sun’s atmosphere will freeze instantly, mummifying it with a frozen cover. Hooray! The sun is frozen and humanity shall never worry about global warming ever again! Your children will embrace you and say, “Mom! I love you so much for destroying the sun! Now it will be winter forever and we can make snowmen every single day!” Of course, you will have to dress warmly and take Tylenol as the weather will get chilly. Even better, there are other benefits to destroying the sun; no beacon for alien life forms to follow, no more sweat, no more blind people, no more sunburns, no more skin cancer, no more miserable albinos, the list goes on and on! Therefore, it is logical that we must remove the sun from our lives to prevent the above hazards that might befall us, our children, and the albino community!
SO CONFUSED! Which medigap Insurance Company is better, AARP Healthcare or Globe Life and Accident Insurance? I am having a REALLY DIFFICULT time choosing between these two companies which serve California. I have all the information about Medigap plans etc. etc. But I just can't decide between these two companies. Globe is $70.00 less than AARP for a Plan F. Can I afford the extra $70 a month? Probably, but I really would rather not pay that much more if the companies are basically equally good. AM Best Rates Globe as A+ and AARP as A financially, and AM Best does have another rating ( I think it's called ICR, but not sure) of aa- vs. a for AARP on the AM Best Website. But in the OUTLOOK section Globe is rated negative and AARP Stable. I have no idea how or if it should impact my decision, or if this would make any difference to me. I like AARP because they are so well known and they do say my rates will decrease substantially when I reach age 65. Globe is issue age rated and AARP is community rated. So Both good. What I was thinking was to go with Globe Insurance for the first three years (I will be 62 in October) and at sixty five switch to AARP (as long as I don't ever get end stage renal disease). AT that point AARP may be well below Globe. Well anyway I really need help in deciding between these two companies. They are soooooo close, but one is much cheaper than the other. I should add, that Globe could not or would not give me an example of the yearly increases or lack there of, for the past two years based on inflation etc, but AARP was able to tell me that their increases for the past two years were about 3.5%. Help. What should I do? My effective date is Sept 1 2009, so I need to make a decision in a hurry. Like today. Has anyone had any experience with Globe Life and Accident Insurance whatsoever? Positive or negative? Anyone ever heard of them? Your answers would be so much appreciated. I'm desperate to make the right decision. Please Please help me. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Globe Life Insurance? Does anyone know if Globe Life Insurance (the one that advertises $1 buys your first month's premium) has a limited benefit factor? Thanks.
Is Globe Life Insurance ok? Need to get some additional life insurance, everyone has gotten solicitations from Globe Life - does anyone know if they are actually ok? Do they come through if a claim is made? Or is Globe the kind of company that only pays if someone dies from an anvil falling on your head on a cloudy third Tuesday? Don't want to waste my money, so I wanted to know if anyone has an any expereince with Globe Life. Thanks
Do you still imagine? Do you still have an imagination? Throughout the Christmas holiday I saw my young cousins (13 and under) playing with dolls, cars, trucks, clothes... all imagining that they were mommies and daddies, or truck drivers, or all kinds of things. Meanwhile, the adults sat around and spoke about health concerns, insurance, the problems of the world, and how life just "isn't what it used to be." So, I'm curious... as adults, have we lost the ability to imagine? John Lennon wrote a song about how the world could be so much better if we "imagine" things. Most everything is possible anymore... and the world is still involved in wars, poverty is still rampant, and diseases such as cancer and AIDS are still touching millions of people. My question is... can you (as an adult) still imagine? It can be on any level... pretending you're a motorcycle driver with your son in the sidecar, or seeing the end of war and widespread peace and understanding across the globe. Please, appropriate answers only. I'd like to hear.
can someone pls rephrase this for me? thanx p3? There are thirty-four states currently enforcing parental consent or notification laws for minors seeking an abortion. The Supreme Court ruled that minors must have an alternative, such as the ability to seek a court order authorizing the procedure. When president Bush spoke at a major antiabortion rally, he endorsed the activists' cause but admitted that their primary goal--making abortion illegal--is not likely to be achieved anytime soon. He added, "A true culture of life cannot be sustained solely by changing laws. We need, most of all, to change hearts.” Bush was speaking perhaps more accurately than he knew. Around the globe, the presence or absence of legal restrictions has relatively little to do with whether women decide to have an abortion. The countries with the lowest abortion rates in the world are Belgium and the Netherlands, where abortion is legal and covered by national health insurance. Those countries each year report seven abortions per 1,000 women of childbearing age. By contrast, in countries such as Peru, Brazil, Chile and Colombia, where law restricts abortion, the abortion rate is about 50 per 1,000 women. Those figures are more than twice that of the U.S (abortionfacts.com). In the United States, nearly nine in 10 abortions occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and 56% occur in the first eight weeks. The availability of medical abortion the “abortion pill,” or mifepristone and new techniques that allow surgical abortions to be performed earlier in pregnancy are likely to reinforce the trend toward earlier abortions. The introduction of a new medical abortifacient, such as RU-486, added some new features in the debate. Unlike vacuum aspiration or curettage, RU-486 does not involve insertion of instruments into the uterus and thus poses no risk of accidental perforation and infection from unclean instruments. Furthermore, it does not require the same degree of technical skills as the surgical techniques used to terminate pregnancy. So, in this respect, a prescriptive method of abortion poses less risk to women than previous alternatives. With the development of mifepristone, known as RU-486 or the "abortion pill," abortion has become innocuous and reliable (abortionfacts.com). This product works 95.5% of the time when taken within the first seven weeks of pregnancy. According to abortion statistics from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, 33% of gynecologists who do not perform surgical abortions say they would prescribe RU-486. In addition to the reduction of risk for pregnant women, it is easier for women to use. Women who have religious reasons for avoiding or restricting termination of pregnancy may use RU-486 after fertilization has occurred but before implantation of the embryo. Clearly, abortion is not detrimental to the health of the mother. The 56% of U.S. women having abortions are in there 20s(Jones RK). The overall abortion rate is 21 per 1,000 U.S. women. Black and Hispanic women have higher abortion rates than non-Hispanic white women do. The rates are 49/1,000 and 33/1,000 among black and Hispanic women, respectively, vs. 13/1,000 among non-Hispanic white women (Finer). Black and Hispanic women have higher abortion rates primarily because they have higher rates of unintended pregnancy. One may ask what is the cost of surgical abortion. In 2001, the average charge for a surgical abortion at 10 weeks’ gestation was $468; but since most abortions in the United States are performed at low-cost clinics, women on average paid $372 for the procedure. Some 74% of women pay for abortions with their own money; Medicaid covers 13% of abortions, and 13% are billed directly to private insurance. Some women who pay for the procedure themselves may receive insurance reimbursement later. There are total of 32 states and the District of Columbia prohibits public funding of abortions, except in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. South Dakota only provides public funding of abortions when necessary to protect the woman’s life, which is not in compliance with the federal Medicaid statute (abortionfacts.com), Another question one may ask is how safe is it? The risk of abortion complications is minimal when a trained professional in a hygienic setting performs the procedure: less than 1% of all U.S. abortion patients experience a major complication. The risk of death associated with abortion in the U.S. is less than 0.6 per 100,000 procedures, which is less than one-tenth as large as the risk associated with childbirth. (Henshaw) However, 68,000 women in countries where abortion is illegal die each year of abortion complications, and many times this number are injured by unsafe procedures. Between 1990 and 2000, there were between four and 11 deaths related to legal abortion in the United States each year. In 2002, a total of 357 women in the United States were reported to have died of maternal causes. The number of maternal deaths does not include all deaths among pregnant women—only those in which the cause reported on the death certificate is related to or aggravated by pregnancy or pregnancy management (cdc.gov). In developed countries, where the procedure is usually legal, abortion mortality is low 0.2-1.2 deaths per 100,000 abortions. But in developing regions excluding China, where abortion is often illegal, abortion mortality rate is hundreds times higher, 330 deaths per 100,000 abortions (cdc.gov). In conclusion, I feel that a women’s right to an abortion depends on her situation. I feel that if a woman should be able to have an abortion if her health is seriously endangered. I feel that a woman should not have an abortion just because she cannot afford the baby. There are other alternatives, such as adoption. School programs teaching adolescents about safe sex is not enough? Parents must be able to speak freely with their teen about sex at any given time. Abortion does not only affect the teen, but it affects everyone. Everyone has a right to believe in what they feel is right. We must respect a woman’s decision whether you consider it to be wrong or right. America is a country where everyone has the same rights. And one right, regarding bearing children, affect women. But for the anti-abortionists, who will hopefully be a little less narrow-minded and a little more considerate, Every woman deserves a right to choose . This is my research paper. And its due Thursday. I was not sure if it makes sense. So that’s y I asked to rephrase it. You don’t have to do it if u don’t want to. but does it make sence, you can atleast tell me that thanx

And basically the old computer that works with the other computer can't work email or facebook. so i couldn't think of what else to do other than copy my paper on here because for whatever reason yahoo answers works on that computer. so please don't flag this question!! hahah i guess my question could be, do you think this paper is any good for last minute? lol 9/8/09 Block B4 G3b The Right May Not Agree, but Universal Healthcare Is a Right There is much anticipation throughout the United States concerning the healthcare reform issue. Considering we are in an economic recession, many Americans are hoping that things can be done to improve the economy; healthcare reform is something that many are hopeful will better our economy. However, others feel that it would go horribly wrong, and ultimately bankrupt our country. Economy aside, I would hope that many realize the importance of healthcare. In my opinion, it is a right to all humans. Considering the issue from a political standpoint, it is clearly obvious that healthcare is a right. Currently in the United States, we are a federal republic with democratic principles under a capitalistic economic system and socialism for needed services. These services include the military, public education, police, and welfare. So it should be a surprise that we are lacking socialism with needed services in our medical system for the average American citizen. What is even worse is the hypocrisy that has been in use; the very ones who pass those laws against universal healthcare are the ones enjoying a social medical system. Also, the Preamble to the Constitution states that the United States government will “establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, […and] promote the general welfare.” All these objectives can be related directly to enforcing universal healthcare, and because they are in the Constitution, it obviously means that health care is a right of the American people. Obviously, our founding fathers weren’t dealing with quite the same economic crises that we are dealing with today, so many could argue that those aspects of the Preamble are irrelevant because they would only work if the economy was good. Yet research shows that 50% of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills, and half of those bankruptcies had medical insurance that ran out. So it can be inferred that universal healthcare could actually help the economy, not hinder it. From a scientific standpoint, it would seem silly that healthcare could only be a privilege. Researchers all over the globe work tirelessly to find vaccines and cures to fight off cancer, AIDS, and many other diseases. If a new vaccine is found, does it seem fair for the vaccine to only be administrated to those who the government deem appropriate, those who have “honored their privilege?” Perhaps the government would approve of someone who desperately needs that vaccine, and that does not seem like a fair thing to do. In my mind, all life should be deemed as “winners.” All of us who are alive were the ones were the fastest sperm chosen by the egg. That is a miracle in itself, and I think that the government should do all it can to preserve that life. Therefore, it is an inalienable right that all life should be protected.

Who do these environmental scientists think they are?Like they know more than Al Gore? Why don't people use their brains, do a little research , and realize the Global Warming farce is simply a political adgenda aimed at corraling huge sums of money through the use of fear? MYTH 1: Global temperatures are rising at a rapid, unprecedented rate. FACT: Accurate satellite, balloon and mountain top observations made over the last three decades have not shown any significant change in the long term rate of increase in global temperatures. Average ground station readings do show a mild warming of 0.6 to 0.8Cover the last 100 years, which is well within the natural variations recorded in the last millennium. The ground station network suffers from an uneven distribution across the globe; the stations are preferentially located in growing urban and industrial areas ("heat islands"), which show substantially higher readings than adjacent rural areas ("land use effects"). There has been no catastrophic warming recorded. MYTH 2: The "hockey stick" graph proves that the earth has experienced a steady, very gradual temperature increase for 1000 years, then recently began a sudden increase. FACT: Significant changes in climate have continually occurred throughout geologic time. For instance, the Medieval Warm Period, from around 1000 to1200 AD (when the Vikings farmed on Greenland) was followed by a period known as the Little Ice Age. Since the end of the 17th Century the "average global temperature" has been rising at the low steady rate mentioned above; although from 1940 – 1970 temperatures actually dropped, leading to a Global Cooling scare. The "hockey stick", a poster boy of both the UN's IPCC and Canada's Environment Department, ignores historical recorded climatic swings, and has now also been proven to be flawed and statistically unreliable as well. It is a computer construct and a faulty one at that. MYTH 3: Human produced carbon dioxide has increased over the last 100 years, adding to the Greenhouse effect, thus warming the earth. FACT: Carbon dioxide levels have indeed changed for various reasons, human and otherwise, just as they have throughout geologic time. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, the CO2 content of the atmosphere has increased. The RATE of growth during this period has also increased from about 0.2% per year to the present rate of about 0.4% per year, which growth rate has now been constant for the past 25 years. However, there is no proof that CO2 is the main driver of global warming. As measured in ice cores dated over many thousands of years, CO2 levels move up and down AFTER the temperature has done so, and thus are the RESULT OF, NOT THE CAUSE of warming. Geological field work in recent sediments confirms this causal relationship. There is solid evidence that, as temperatures move up and down naturally and cyclically through solar radiation, orbital and galactic influences, the warming surface layers of the earth's oceans expel more CO2 as a result. MYTH 4: CO2 is the most common greenhouse gas. FACT: Greenhouse gases form about 3 % of the atmosphere by volume. They consist of varying amounts, (about 97%) of water vapour and clouds, with the remainder being gases like CO2, CH4, Ozone and N2O, of which carbon dioxide is the largest amount. Hence, CO2 constitutes about 0.037% of the atmosphere. While the minor gases are more effective as "greenhouse agents" than water vapour and clouds, the latter are overwhelming the effect by their sheer volume and – in the end – are thought to be responsible for 60% of the "Greenhouse effect". Those attributing climate change to CO2 rarely mention this important fact. MYTH 5: Computer models verify that CO2 increases will cause significant global warming. FACT: Computer models can be made to "verify" anything by changing some of the 5 million input parameters or any of a multitude of negative and positive feedbacks in the program used.. They do not "prove" anything. Also, computer models predicting global warming are incapable of properly including the effects of the sun, cosmic rays and the clouds. The sun is a major cause of temperature variation on the earth surface as its received radiation changes all the time, This happens largely in cyclical fashion. The number and the lengths in time of sunspots can be correlated very closely with average temperatures on earth, e.g. the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Warm Period. Varying intensity of solar heat radiation affects the surface temperature of the oceans and the currents. Warmer ocean water expels gases, some of which are CO2. Solar radiation interferes with the cosmic ray flux, thus influencing the amount ionized nuclei which control cloud cover. MYTH 6: The UN proved that man–made CO2 causes global warming. FACT: In a 1996 report by the UN on global warming, two statements were deleted from the final draft. Here they are: 1) “None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed climate changes to increases in greenhouse gases.” 2) “No study to date has positively attributed all or part of the climate change to man–made causes” To the present day there is still no scientific proof that man-made CO2 causes significant global warming. MYTH 7: CO2 is a pollutant. FACT: This is absolutely not true. Nitrogen forms 80% of our atmosphere. We could not live in 100% nitrogen either. Carbon dioxide is no more a pollutant than nitrogen is. CO2 is essential to life on earth. It is necessary for plant growth since increased CO2 intake as a result of increased atmospheric concentration causes many trees and other plants to grow more vigorously. Unfortunately, the Canadian Government has included CO2 with a number of truly toxic and noxious substances listed by the Environmental Protection Act, only as their means to politically control it. MYTH 8: Global warming will cause more storms and other weather extremes. FACT: There is no scientific or statistical evidence whatsoever that supports such claims on a global scale. Regional variations may occur. Growing insurance and infrastructure repair costs, particularly in coastal areas, are sometimes claimed to be the result of increasing frequency and severity of storms, whereas in reality they are a function of increasing population density, escalating development value, and ever more media reporting. MYTH 9: Receding glaciers and the calving of ice shelves are proof of global warming. FACT: Glaciers have been receding and growing cyclically for hundreds of years. Recent glacier melting is a consequence of coming out of the very cool period of the Little Ice Age. Ice shelves have been breaking off for centuries. Scientists know of at least 33 periods of glaciers growing and then retreating. It’s normal. Besides, glacier's health is dependent as much on precipitation as on temperature. MYTH 10: The earth’s poles are warming; polar ice caps are breaking up and melting and the sea level rising. FACT: The earth is variable. The western Arctic may be getting somewhat warmer, due to unrelated cyclic events in the Pacific Ocean, but the Eastern Arctic and Greenland are getting colder. The small Palmer Peninsula of Antarctica is getting warmer, while the main Antarctic continent is actually cooling. Ice thicknesses are increasing both on Greenland and in Antarctica. Sea level monitoring in the Pacific (Tuvalu) and Indian Oceans (Maldives) has shown no sign of any sea level rise. SOURCES! Why do scientists think they know more about science than politicians? Gore wouldn't LIE!? "Global warming caused by man" is untrue and there is FAR more documented evidence of this than there is in the "human /CO2 Fault". Why are people so willing to be sheep?WE ARE BEING LIED TO! Does anyone know where I forward this to "the real Microsoft?"? I'm so sick of getting these emails. I KNOW it is a scam and when I delete one, they kept sending others emails that read like this one: Microsoft Cash Promotion Award 20 Craven Park, Harlesden London NW10 United Kingdon We have sent you a mail as regards your Microsoft Cash Promotion Award Winning Claims . We did sent you a mail as regards how to claim your prize winning package which includes the legal document (paper work) and your certified winning cheque that will back up your winning claims and i do believe that you have not claimed your won prize. I quite understand your skepticism and with the look of things you are still skeptical about your prize money. I want to state categorically clear here that the only thing I can deduce from the reservations/thoughts you expressed in your email been sent to me from your claims officer Mr.Fedrick Depp,to my own look of things as the General Manager Europe Microsoft Corporation,is the fact that you are probably scared or jittery because of the magnitude of the funds you won. As you know that we don't encourage or entertain any exchange of money because the Microsoft Cash Promotion Board Athourity do not demand payment from winners, ours is to serve according to the limitations of the law and not getting ourselves involved in shady deals that is contrary to the ethics of this noble profession. It is the Bank or the Courier Company that will effect and deliver your winning claims that is demanding payment so as to transfer your prize-winning money. There is an insurance policy on the coverage of your winning money, which makes it impossible to deduct any amount from your total prize winning funds because of the misappropriation of winner’s funds and litigation we have faced from the past winners. You will agree with me that no Government will allow such amount of funds to leave its shore without proper documentation as to the originality of the funds, only with the required documents will payment be made out. It might interest you to know that due to very strict regulations there is a procedure that was laid down by the British Lottery Affairs Commission as well as the insurance policy on the coverage of your winning funds. I want to bring to your notice that these policies laid down by the Microsoft Cash Promotion Award Board state that total prize money has been insured to the real value and as such cannot be deducted from the winnings. The constitutional assembly in accordance with section 13(n) of the national gambling acts as adopts this in1993 and amended on 3RD July 1996. This is to protect winners and to avoid misappropriation of funds. That is, your prize winnings is protected by a hardcover insurance policy, which makes it impossible to deduct any amount from the prize winning money before it can be remitted to you. These regulations/Policies have been put in place to check previously experienced mishandling and/or misappropriation of winners' funds and we are obligated to act in line with these policies. The lottery Office is doing this to avoid people involve in frivolous Act not to Con people of that heard Earn Money and we are obligated to act in line with these policies as such we cannot deducted any charges from your winnings because your prize winning money is already insured. NOTE: I must state here that they are lot of Internet scam through the internet and we have had series of complains from past winners and we have also face a lot of litigation from them too regards people using the name of Microsoft Cash Promotion Board Authority. Please be informed that we are not unaware of Internet frauds that are prevalent around the world presently, there is alarming rate of Internet Fraud going on now around the Globe via Internet, the name of our organization has been used in the past by these con artists, some of whom we have duly prosecuted in the court of law. So I want you to be very careful of whom you deal with. According to united kingdom, the London laws, this offence is subject to as much as 6 years in a federal penitentiary if found to be truly involved in this manner of fraud. Furthermore, London has reciprocating laws that may allow us to find any person who is involved in this type of fraud in whatever country of origin and prosecute them and their associates or firms. Furthermore, I would not blame you for your skeptic considering the high level of internet scams these days, you are a winner and you have nothing to worry about, you should count yourself very lucky because I for one have never won anything all my life. If only we as a staffs were allowed to partake in the Promotion e-games who knows I could be a lucky winner because I really would make good use of my winnings. I believe all winners have always been given an option to process or forfeit winnings. But I am truly sorry about your feelings right now but you must understand this is no illegitimate operation. I am truly sorry about this, you probably want to withdraw from procedures, but I must inform you that this is legitimate and I will not deviate from the ethics of this noble profession. Posted By: shaista @ 03/01/2008 5:36:46 AM Comment: THE lunch hosted by Mr Asif Zardari for the newly elected members of the three leading parties on Feb 27 may well be remembered as a landmark in the long awaited transition to a democratic dispensation in Pakistan. The squalls that rocked the state on Oct 12, 1999 and in the form of the 17th amendment inflicted much damage. Then, the catastrophe of Nov 3 put all salvaging efforts beyond the capacity of any single party. The existing distortions in that historic but half-alive Constitution present a nightmare and demand the exercise of the highest form of political wisdom and legal expertise. The process of eliminating them by creating a new interface between politics and law has just begun. Pakistan???s present crisis is characterised by the bitter harvest of constitutional violations, growing imbalance between a power-hungry centre and the handicapped federating units, uncontrollable violence by ever-proliferating bands of extremists and, above all, by a rapidly rising table of sub-surface social anger at glaring inequalities of income and opportunity. A reasonably broad-based coalition government may provide a healing touch. There is no great virtue in a two-party system anymore as, for quite some time to come, regional aspirations will deepen particular identities of the constitutive elements of a diverse nation. The greatest achievement of the three top leaders present at Mr Zardari???s lunch is that they successfully persuaded their followers that these identities were perfectly compatible with an overarching national identity. Scratch the surface and lurking just beneath the protest against the humiliation of the higher judiciary and repeated violations of the Constitution is a palpable anguish of poverty and deprivation. Pakistan must eschew politics of vendetta but that does not mean that every crime against the state and society be brushed under the carpet. It needs a high-powered Commission on Truth, Justice and Reconciliation in the interest of historical accuracy and to build dykes for future security. We need to replace mercenary relations with relations based on mutual respect, community of interests and coordinated pursuit of common objectives within our respective national parameters. A strong and stable national coalition can be built around the present understanding between the PPP, PML-N and ANP. The US-led West should welcome it and not undermine it as it alone can make Pakistan???s battle against militant extremists effective The west should to withdraw their support from the one Musharaf who loathed by the people at maximum Posted By: shaista @ 03/01/2008 5:07:40 AM Comment: THE results of the election that took place on Feb 18 were astonishing. President Musharraf???s supporting party Pakistan Muslim League (Q) was wiped out and the ministers who were lucky enough to keep their seats are now at a safe distance from President Musharraf. The people at large want the president to go with no other choice. However, the US has been unduly interfering in our politics as its Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher has emphasised the need to continue President Musharraf???s rule. Pakistan has remained under military rule for more than half of its life, and the people no longer want any dictator to rule over them. As the PPP has secured the maximum number of seats, followed by the PML (N), the ties made between these parties also pose a serious challenge to the president???s stay any further in office. His rule for eight long years has brought many hardships to the nation and now he should quit The US slogan for democracy is and justice is just a slogan and in real and practicle not willing to be so for their own agenda From whome to expect the justice and democracy in the world the only power it self violate This is not the Musharaf pakistan but of 1,600/-Millions people and what they think of the rest This is not in the benifit of US to support the cruel one of the country who now the people think as Mechile G.Choaf The people and the young generation have very strong anti US sentiments due to their blind support of Dictator Musharaf This is not a good sign and this will increase with passage of time Posted By: eddiewhere @ 02/29/2008 2:12:44 AM Comment: IN THIS ENVIORNMENT OF ECONOMIC FEUDALISM WHERE THE MIDDLE CLASS MUST SUFFER IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE pROFITS OF MULTINATIONAL CORpORATIONS, WHO BENEFIT FROM CHEAp LABOR, THE AMERICAN DREAM HAS BEEN LOST. WE are now scared of our own government more than we are of the terrorist because the decisions this government is making on our behalf is not in our best interests and it is killing us. The government is now dominating our civil liberties. They are giving the states millions for Real ID Cards. This is just the start of government intrusion. Combine this with the misuse of the Patriot Act and the future Plans of insurance comPanies and corporations to have full access to our personal records and we have a real crisis. Credit Card companies have already started selling and sharing our personal information with the private sector. We really have to wake up and protect our constitution it is all we have to defend ourselves against interests that become too rich and powerful in this country. The government keeps expanding and is being predominantly controlled by special interest and lobbyist. The middle class is being weakened and our civil liberties are being threatened. Real ID Cards will not make "us safer" infacat terrorists can obtain fake ones and move about freely. The American people did not vote on Real ID Cards, we need a vote. Our constitution would have to be ammended in order for Real ID's to become legal. I do not know what has happened in Washington but it is getting out of hand. They know what they are doing is unconstitutional so they are trying to bribe the states by offering them money. I hope every state agrees with me and Prevents the federal govenment from imPosing THIS unconstitutional law. If the states allow the government to do this then they would have set a bad Precedent that could lead to further government violations. WHy IS THERE A NEED TO WIRE TAp EVERy CITIZEN. People in Pakistan voted in favor of Bhutto's party, not for Zardari, who was responsible for her twice ouster from the Premiership due to his shameful dirty roles of Mr.10%. Country's biggest grass root party preaching "Government of the People, by the People, for the People", which was founded on the basic principle of providing them respectable " Bread, Dress and Shelter", was created by Bhutto, hanged by a military dictator. Now, the party is orphaned in a bomb-blast death of his daughter during another military rule. Situation brings forth her rootless spouse, "Mr.Tenpercent Zardari", holding the People's mandate ( at ransom?), for endless exploits. Whatever the words mean, they cannot change the genes. The name "Zardari" literally means "Gold-Lord" and he lives his name literally. He was responsible for legislating and monopolizing gold import into Pakistan (through an Emirates based gold-tycoon of Pakistan origin) on a ridiculous 2% custom duty and made unfathomable ocean of fortune. If the US administration is ready," to let them have their rounds of discussions, still expecting the [Pakistani] Army to take the necessary military action, counting on an interesting transition", then the whole riddle is solved. The ongoing change in Pakistan is not a change of " act" in the drama being staged but, a "change of gear into a powerful all terrain drive", to move forward on the designed road-map, crossing effectively all rugged and bogging tracts en-route. Posted By: shaista @ 02/25/2008 5:19:05 AM Comment: The newly retired General Musharraf has displayed no intention of leaving office despite his king party losing even after plenty of evidence that he had planned to rig the elections. The caretaker government was anything but neutral and the Election Commission was suspect. But pressure from Washington compelled him to change his plans. Had he still engaged in massive rigging, not only would he have drawn Washington???s ire but also evoked ugly street protests. He knew that if the ???agitators??? caused the country to come to a standstill, the army would distance itself from him. Without their protection, he would not last a day in office. The habitual offender Musharaf this time fail for not carrying out a full pleadge crime of rigging due to international observer existing These people will never be convinced that it is time for the ex-general to go. To them, he is the embodiment of truth, the doer of all good things, and the prince of enlightened moderation without whom Pakistan would return to the Dark Ages. It is time for Musharraf, to wake up and realise that the game is over. Everything Musharraf stood for was repudiated on Feb 18. The electoral results have made it clear, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the people do not wish to see Musharraf holding court on radio and television day in and day out. Aitzaz Ahsan spoke for millions when he said, ???Musharraf is the most hated & loathed man in Pakistan.??? During the last several months, poll after poll showed Musharraf???s popularity plummeting like a lead coin in a bottomless well. But he continued to reject the polls by saying that they only represented the views of a few thousand people and asserted vainly that he was vastly popular in the populous countryside. But even the King???s party was not taken in by the myths spun out by the monarch. It knew that once rigging was no longer an option, its fate was sealed. Why else would they seek to obtain the release of one of the key instigators of the Lal Masjid takeover, Abdul Aziz, just days prior to the vote? This was an obvious ploy designed to play on the religious sympathies of the people and to garner much needed votes. How else could one justify releasing a real and confirmed terrorist from jail while holding the nation???s eminent justices and barristers under house arrest? Musharraf had said not too long ago that he would step down when he saw that the people were no longer with him. He said he was continuing as president only because it was in the national interest. He would rather be playing golf or tennis, he noted, but the situation required him to sacrifice his personal interests. Well, the time has now come for him to do the nation a favour and quit as he is the only evil for this country. THE REV DR KAMAL KARNA K ROY, A US AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL _ REPUBLICAN HOPEFUL, NEW YORK 2.24.2008 Posted By: Mohdsheikh @ 02/24/2008 12:49:45 AM Comment: Washington's top ranks seem unworried about what the new civilian leaders might decide. The only worry Americans have about the moment to keep up Musharraf in Presidency because Musharraf has amended the constitution in such a way no one else can do any thing without his consent and authority. This is worrisome for the new elected politicians. They know very much the hard fact that they have not been elected on merits, it is the hatred against Musharraf they have en-cashed. Because Musharraf have destroyed the true democrative spirit of the Pakistan???s Constitution by extremely autocratic and extra constitutional way before conducting the general election so that he could do the post election rigging. If those powers are not taken away from the presidency then the politicians will be nothing more than tools in his hands. If the politicians failed to restore highest court judges that will mean they are empty handed. Moreover they won???t be able to face their voters who have sent them Islamabad to clean up the mess and deliver good to them. Would you buy life insurance with no medical exam, or would you rather take a physical? Several life insurance companies like Garden State, Globe and RBC offer these types of policies - some of these are reviewed at http://www.term-life-online.com/life-insurance-no-medical-exams.html It seems like it would be quicker and easier, but the cost may be higher, and the coverage amount is limited to about $250,000. Wondering if people would rather not have to hassle with a physical exam.
