- Most of those companies that go out of business are actually bought by other companies. To find out, contact the department of insurance in your state and talk to a representative and they will properly direct you.
- Since monthly payments need to be made there should be a bill from the new company somewhere.
- secretary of state of MO will have what happened to this company, it may have been bought out or had a name change. also check with insurance commissioner for state of MO, they may also have a status. if it were a term policy, which only lasts a stated period of years, it may have expired
- The Missouri Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association (http://www.mo-iga.org/lnh.shtml) is a non-profit organization created by the Missouri Legislature to protect Missouri policyholders in the event that their life insurance company goes bankrupt. There are a couple of limitations: 1. The maximum amount of a life insurance policy that they will cover is $100,000 2. You need to be a resident of Missouri. (This isn't clear from your question) You can call the Missouri Guarantee Association at 573-634-8455 or email them at MIGA@mo-iga.org.
