Are you more confused after the third debate?
I am a bit more confused now. I am still not sure on two major issues of both candidates: Taxation and Health Care. In my income bracket, I won't be effected by either candidate. However, under Obama, I feel sorry for the richer folks that work very hard only to be punished with higher taxes. Other than this issue, I am in agreement with his views/philosphy. Now with Health Care, I think the whole system needs to be reconstructed entirely which I am beginning to believe neither candidate can accomplish. The whole HMO thing is disgusting! How can someone get denied coverage in a life or death situation is beyond me! Shame on the people responsible for this!! According to Mccain, he wants to give $5000 so familys can support their Health Insurance coverage which to me at least, is merely a band-aid. Obama, on the other hand, wants to reduce rates. What I would like to see is Hillary's plan implemented. Health Insurance should be a necessity provided to all no matter your income bracket. I think it should be one unified cost to all minus the HMO BS (denying people coverage) which I feel is a huge task. It should also be run under the Govt. entirely. A friend of mine told me the other day, he is only going to vote for the propositions, not the president. In some respects, I agree with his logic. Both candidates have their faults. What do you think? Are you more confused now?

- Nope. I'm more convinced than ever that I cast the right vote. I voted Early for Obama.
- I think that you need to find which one you think is best for the country as a whole and the countires future. I am voting for McCain. You should vote though, it is important.
- the debates are all quite similar to me.. same old rehashed stuff over and over.. basically u get a couple liars and put em in a room. and see who u want to believe. Keeping in mind that pretty much none of it will happen.
- I'm not confused. I'd sure never vote republican again - ever! 30 years of lies, bungling and fraud and finally - the Neo-Cons are finished!
- Nope, I never was confused. I don't like McCains or Obamas health care plans. And if you what to get rid of the HMO's then you do not what the government to run the health care in America. They are already doing that with medicare and medicade and you see what a mess that is - you do see that don't you?
- On the tax thing you have an idea on the health care Obama wants to enforce your employer to pay for your health insurance. It is not Health Care but Employer paid Health Insurance. So not only does he want to raise your employers taxes but now they will be force to pay for your insurance. Kinda a double whammy on employers - The average price for health insurance is $5,800 per year. So add up the number of people that work for the company and times it by 5800 and that will an additional charge to your employer. Hope you work in a small office! On the other hand, McCain wants to give you $5000 to get your own insurance. Open up the borders so you can choose what ever insurance is best for you. He does want to charge tax on that which is a first and I do not like. And the 5000 is cash refundable - so if you have insurance or don't want it... cash it in.
- It's time the US caught up with the rest of the world with a good health care system for all Americans. Mr Obama likes the Medicare system which most countries have, where you can still have your own private health care and be in the private health care system. Or you have the choice of using Medicare universal health care system which is free and doesn't cost you or your family a cent to see your current family doctor, going into hospital or for x rays, blood tests, scans, ultra sounds, MRI, having a baby or operation, etc, etc, etc. If you ever do have to pay for specialist treatment, Medicare reimburses you back in cash 85% of the cash you paid for specialist treatment. Most people only see there family doctor maybe once or twice a year if they are feeling ill or have an injury. If you are rushed to hospital in a emergency your seen immediately. You don't have a ignorant nurse with a husky voice asking about your medical insurance or telling you to drive twenty to forty miles to a hospital that accepts your insurance or have to call around to get money before you are treated. To get your finger sewn back on or if your child is turning blue faced in your arms. Under Medicare for $30 a year covers you and your whole family if you need an Ambulance all year, otherwise it costs you $85 dollars for an Ambulance ride to the hospital. Americans have this stupid idea in there head, there going to have to pay extra taxes for the system, that is total rubbish, when you do your yearly taxes, if you use Medicare there is a 1.5% levy charged if you make over 70k if your single or 120k if your a couple with a family it's taken from your tax return it's about $0 to $60 dollars depending on your annual yearly income above these figures. If you are on private medical insurance or unemployed you don't pay anything. Which is not even the cost of paying someone to do your taxes. To see a doctor or receive emergency treatment in a hospital anytime for "free". It's never taken from your weekly wages like health insurance is. The money you pay out for health insurance stays in your pocket, so this is extra income for you and your family, and not buying silk socks for insurance company workers. Or lost when you loose or change your job, or if you miss a payment. Also your not paying for some body's health care either. Another untrue myth about Medicare is the government doctors etc it's a load of bull, you can see your own family doctor or the doctor of your choice. All your medical records are private, not passed around or discussed by a focus group of insurance people who decide what treatment they will allow you to receive, or some insurance investigator trying to find a loophole to make you pay for treatment. The other one of having to wait for medical treatment is crap too, made up by someone who was too impatient to wait for there triage turn to see a doctor. Some times you do have to wait just like you do in any line in a bank etc, only there's one in the crowd who's far too bloody impatient to wait there turn and don't realize doctors only have two hands not eight. If some one comes in with a bullet in the chest or a woman about to have a baby they are seen too first, than some one who has just a head cold. Hillary wanted to bring in the Medicare system to the USA only due to these untrue rumors it was stupidly knocked backed to keep the silk socks on insurance fat cats and keep there wallets full. While Americans are dying or are living in pain or stitching there own wounds. All American doctors and Mr Obama also wants this health system in the US. Medicare will benefit hundreds of millions of Americans and families who can't afford the high cost expensive medical treatment or insurance. The Americans who don't want Medicare can all stay on there private medical health systems with out paying the yearly levy. Medicare is a very good and fair public heath system and you always do receive first class medical and hospital care and treatment.
