- don't lie is isn't worth the money, if you die and they perform and autopsy they can see what prior medical conditions you had and won't pay out
- depends on the condition. Most companies will look at an illness at anytime. doesn't mean they will decline you, just means they need to know about it (IE: Prostate cancer...there is no chance of getting prostate cancer again once the prostate is removed and it typically doesn't spread to other parts...after you've had surgery to have it removed you can ussually get insurance a year or 2 after that...other types of cancer have 5 year waiting periods before your insurable, etc)
- Like in your situation,I would like to advise you have a look here http://www.InsuranceFreeTip.info/insurance-for-free.htm
- Every company has different underwriting time lines. Most companies will ask questions going back 10 years at the most. Some may ask if you have ever had a certain ailment.
- It depends on what they are looking for. We look back 10 years on certain items. Some conditions that you had before aren't a concern after a number of years. If I were you, I would be more worried about the company you choose......Metlife is hurting greatly financially, it won't matter if you pass their tests if they aren't around anymore to pay out.
- Some of the questions will go back 5 or 10 years, but some questions ask if you 'ever had...' so, that means lifetime. Answer them straight up, then they'll also get your physician records to validate your answers and get more information on any conditions. good luck, buy enough
- All companies are different. I wouldn't apply with MetLife without shopping first with an independent agent. An agent can shop not only the rates for you but also health conditions. Some companies are more competitive with certain health conditions than others. I would be surprised if MetLife ended up being the best company to go with.
