How to say no to an insurance agent?

So I spent a few hours with this life insurance agent last weekend discussing various options and she gave me lots of term and whole quotes and paperwork to take home. Did the same with an equally helpful agent of another insurance company thereafter. Quotes vary all over the place, so I intend to consult with one more agent before I decide. Now the problem is how to politely say no to all but one these helpful people? They have already started calling to check if I have decided but I need time to shop around. Hope to hear both from consumers who have faced this situation and insurance salespersons who may perhaps face this frequently. Thanks. http://mp7downloads.cn/health-insurance.html http://mp7downloads.cn/health-insurance.html http://mp7downloads.cn/health-insurance.html

  1. No
  2. Thank you for your time, but I've decided on a policy with another agent who was able to get me better coverage at a lower rate. Have a nice day. Click.
  3. Just tell them you appreciate all they have done but you decided to go with another policy and company. Tell them that you chose what you feel is best for you. You don't need to tell them any information about your policy or the name of the company you chose.
  4. When they call back, let them know that your are comparing their quotes with a few other companies. Perhaps they will offer you a better quote. After you finally decide, and sign on the dotted line, when they call back, just say "Thanks for your time, but I have decided to go with another company, and have already signed the papers." They will quit calling after that.
  5. well first you need to make sure your compairing apples to apples to apples. make sure they are giving you the same quotes for whole or term, not that one is giving you quotes for whole and another is giving you term quotes. Once you decide basically you can just not call back the ones you dont want or you can call and just say, I have decided to go with another agency, thank you for your time. Thanks it, good luck
  6. You just say no. Tell them, you're still checking out your options.
  7. As an agent, I can tell you to be just upfront and honest with us. We hate getting the run around as much as you would. If you go with someone else - that's fine - but we just like to know that we have a shot at winning your business one way or the other. As far as shopping around goes, we all offer the same products and rates. We can't undercut one another. So if someone is quoting you the exact same plan at a lower rate, then they are putting you in a lower risk class that you may not qualify for.
