when you become a member of aarp do u automatically get life insurance? if so how much?

- No, you have to buy it. You have to fill out an application, and tell THEM how much you want. AARP, btw, is a club. It doesn't sell insurance - it sends your info to an insurance company, and THEY sell you the insurance.
- I believe that AARP has a relationship with New York Life Insurance Company. New York Life pays AARP for the right to solicit AARP members to buy life insurance. Not only is it not free but you'll essentially be paying both AARP and New York Life for the insurance.
