aarp and america legion endorsed co?

AARP, are they any good. Why is it that they endorse insurance companies (auto, life, etc) with such high premiums, and same with the American Legion. Are they both using Vet and Seniors for their own purpose? Do the top people in those organization make a lot of money? Just wondering.

Public Comments

  1. American Legion post commanders, etc. receive NO pay for their service. My husband served on two committees at a local branch, plus he helped out with functions....and he never received a cent...nor did anyone else. When it comes to AARP, I have no idea what they do because I don't know anyone who's old enough to belong to AARP.
  2. AARP is a political organization (yes the American Assoc. of Retired People). They and the American Legion endorse products because they get money when a member signs up. The hierarchy of the American Legion probably do OK salary wise. The leaders of the AARP make a killing as Lobbyists.
