- My friend Annabel does insurance policies and came across a great policy. It's life insurance you don't have to die to use. It is full term life insurance which of course pays out if you die, it also gives you income for every year you live after retirement, it also gives you money in case of terminal illness, and you also can draw money on it after it matures 10 years and use the money for whatever you need (there are guidelines for how much you can draw from it to keep it within the guidelines for insurance) It is still considered insurance, so you will not be taxed on the money as income. It is a little involved for me to describe. But if you are interested, I know the company the contract is with is called LSW (Life Insurance of the Southwest). I think my policy is called SecurePlus Provider - Indexed Unifersal Life. (I'm reading this directly from some of the paperwork). I'm no expert on this stuff - I just trust my 2 friends that do insurance that both have told me great things about this. They both took up policies, the one year later, my one friend found out she had cancer and got a payout of $100,000 with no problems. She is now cancer free, thank god. But anyway, it showed that the company held up their part without major issues trying to collect.
