What options are availaible to me for life insurance for my father who has pre existing conditions?

My dad over the past several years has seen his health go down hill, and until recenly, i have not been able to afford a life insurance policy for him. He has had strokes and heart attacks, so there are some pre existing conditions. Are there any life insurance policies that are affordable, that would cover him? Im just looking for something that would cover funeral cost.

1. Consider buying term life insurance because you can match the length of the term policy to the length of the need for it. But if what you want is chiefly burial insurance, that can be purchased separately from life insurance and pre-existing conditions don't matter. 2. There are a couple that are guaranteed issue one such company is Americo, but they only cover final expense, usually will not go over $10,000 and for the most part expensive. They are also what is know as a graded policy meaning that the full face amount will not be paid until the policy is in force for say 3 -4 years, the time before that you would only get what you have paid in in premiums back plus interest. 3. You will absolutely not be able to find life insurance at a reasonable cost. Funerals don't have to cost a lot of money. So take the money that you can afford for an insurance policy, and put it in a high yield savings account instead. Before long, you will have enough saved up to cover final expenses.
