What is the max life insurance for spouse of microsoft employee?

1. Why would it affect the wife's policty at all? We are talking about two completely separate policies right? The husband's and the wife's - Also, I don't think you can max out. I think I heard you can get 10 times your salary - but who the heck would want more than that? Remember you have to pay for the extra insurance
2. Your question makes no sense. If an employee has a $590K life insurance policy, then that policy would pay $590K to his beneficiary in the event of his death. If his spouse also has a policy, that is a separate matter and has nothing to do with how much the employee's policy is worth. I don't know what you mean by "maxes it out".
