PLEASE HELP ME!!! my mom is very sick and we have no life insurance!!?

my mom has been sick for a long while and we started to get a colonial penn policy, but haven't sent the papers out yet. with that policy we have to wait 2 years to get the full coverage. the doctors say she has 2 months at the most so we can't wait for the other policy. is there anything out there to help use with final expenses? what can we do? PLEASE help!!!!! "to lynn. she hasn't died yet." i'm trying to get something before she does. just talk to the doctor and her problems are slowing. doctors are saying it could take a few months before she slowly slips away.

  1. I'm sorry, Ashley, but the time to get a policy is before it's needed. Check with you local social services or churches to see if they know of a charity option.
  2. with her medical records you aren't going to be able to get an insurance policy. horrible thing for you to go through and i'm not trying to sound cold, but she should have planned for this a long time ago.
  3. I'm sorry but there is no life insurance you can purchase now that will pay out when she passes. She is already terminal. There is always an inquiry when death occurs in the first two years of the policy. They will get her medical records and see that she was already expected to pass away in a short period of time and they will not pay out.
  4. When someone is terminal, no insurance company will sell her a policy. Forget it. It is too late to get a pre-need plan because that has to be paid off before the end and you dont have time. Your Mom should have purchased either a pre-need burial plan or life insurance before she was sick. Sorry for you and your family but it is too late to buy something.
  5. If your mom is dying, it's too late to buy life insurance. But it's NOT too late for all the REST of your family members, to buy life insurance. So . . . go buy life insurance tomorrow for everyone else - so that this situation doesn't happen in your family a SECOND time. Just like you have to buy the lottery ticket BEFORE the drawing, you have to buy life insurance BEFORE you get sick, or old.
  6. It is too late now. Any insurance that you get when someone is already this close to death will not pay more when the person dies than what you pay to get and keep the insurance. Your best option is to get no insurance, and pay final expenses with the money that you were going to spend on insurance. Getting insurance now will leave you with less money, not more.
  7. Sorry but it is too late. No company will sell you a policy. Your money is better spent on some pre-paid funeral expenses. Sorry for you and your family. I understand that is a difficult situation.
