What medications being taken can cause an increase in premiums for term life insurance?

  1. I would guess, any diabetes meds, high blood pressure meds, any meds that treat a condition that is linked to premature death.
  2. If you currently have a policy enforce, nothing can. If you are applying then any ORAL medication for heart, diabetes, type illnesses. The doctor's report should say it is under control via use of the meds and nutrition. If not, it probably won't be issued. You should specify here if you are attempting to get coverage or if you already have it.
  3. The rates are based on your health condition, not necessarily the medications you take. You can be on blood pressure medication or cholesterol medication and get the best rates with a number of companies, while other companies will not give you their best.
