How to treat severe anxiety that triggers a "nervous stomach" ?

I am always stressed out about the littlest things and I have really bad anxiety. I have had this my whole life and my Mom seems to be the same way. Every morning when I wake up I have a "nervous stomach" and it feels like I am going to throw up. I get really dizzy, I get very hot and break out in sweats or I get very cold and break out in chills. My palms are always very clammy. Its hard maintaining my job because of my health. I am not performing 110% because I feel nauseated and sick. I am constantly worrying and stressing about the next thing. I have never seen a doctor for either conditions, anxiety or a nervous stomach. I don't know if there is medication to treat this/ease this but I am afraid of side effects which could make me feel even more nauseated!! Are there any home remedies, suggestions ? Ways or tips to prevent this? Should I see a doctor? the only doctor I go to is at an Urgent Care Walk In Clinic ? I have no insurance ... I am NOT pregnant.

  1. Breathe. Just relax your whole body.
  2. i had the exact symptoms you are describing..my heart would race and i would pass out...anyways try this herbal tablet its called st johns wort it works in about 10 minutes and i swear by it. if you dont like tablets theres a spray you can put under your tongue i think its called rescue remedy and it works just as good. good luck if these tablets dont work you def need to see a doctor for something stronger
  3. you need God in your life
  4. Go to your local Public Health Dept. There is probable an Adult Health Clinic. THis is better than "urgent care". You need a medical evaluation with special attention to overactive thyroid which is very treatable.
  5. I think you should check out a mental health agency in your area that specializes in a sliding fee scale.... I have had the same problems.... but.... i went to a mental health agency... I got therapy on how to deal with stressful and anxiety situations... i also got on paxil.... that helped with the anxiety... my issues worsened in other areas so i have changed since the beginning... but they can help.. and they base payment on how much you make...
  6. I have been to a general practioner, a cardiologist and a neurologist, had all kinds of tests. What I am diagnosed with is vasal vagal syncope. It's being managed by a medication to regulate my heart rate (arythmia), one to regulate my blood pressure (they said it would drop when very anxious - as opposed to increasing naturally, leading to my passing out). I also have a medicine for anxiety. Although it's being "managed," I'm not sold that this is the problem because I believe that my stomach plays a larger role. I'm still searching, but not passing out.
