- hello! us have trillions of dept right now. currently us is earning very very little because they are paying dept. the dept is the hindrance of progression. china will dominate us badly in economy if us will not pay their dept.
- i agree stop voting for skin color and vote for your pocket book.....
- That's why I'm voting McCain.
- I wonder the same thing. I think it's because Obama has them believing it's the 'other guy' that will pay the taxes and not them. they will only reap the benefits. They won't see the lie until it's too late.......for all of us if Obama wins.
- there more worried about who is going to win America got talent show.
- Higher taxes won't fix our economy. What is Obama thinking? @lolipop597 Actually, we only have the 37th best health care system in the world. France currently has the best.
- I know that tax increases are the bain of the GOP. Assuming your figures are correct, what makes you think that America should be at war and the troops should be the only ones making a sacrifice? If you truly believed the war is necessary, you should also truly believe we should all pay our fair share to pay for that war. Hypocritical, typical, and pathetic.
- I have verified the facts based on the SPAM email you've copied and posted. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/taxes.asp FYI: A lot of the articles you linked show that the info you wrote is wrong, too. And I've never spread a lie about another candidate. Ever.
- This is a blatant lie
- Very good info. Thank you for posting it. Only people who are lazy and on welfare would want to vote for tax increase.... If you're educated, know better, high taxes don't work.
- Everyone has a choice. I prefer to take the chance on a new party running the nation. Mccain says he is for change, but voted Bush's way 95% of the time. The party of change is the ones who made it this way in the first place. The only change I see is in who is putting it to us.
- SO TRUEEE!!! And his 'brilliant' plan to make healthcare nationalized will make taxes SKYROCKET!!! we have the best healthcare system in the WORLD, so why do we want to change it Obama??!?! stupid. He talks change.change.change. well change isnt a destination, and change is all we will have left in our pockets if he is voted!!!!!
- Man this was a rant about nothing. Paste somthing that you have actually read next time.
- That's why McCain is the man!
- WORKING Americans won't. Those on the dole will. And in the end increasing taxes will only cost more people their jobs and the revenue coming into the treasury to decline. Then when you add the untenable projects Bummer wants implemented, well can you say "depression" and "National Bankruptcy" and the dollar worth less than a penny? No Obama No How, No Way! McCain/Palin '08
- Obama's ideas don't make sense. I figure that he thinks the people of America won't look that far into it or he really is that inexerienced.
- You obviously can't add two and two. Unless you make over $250K a year (which based on your logic, I'm sure you don't), then you'll get a bigger tax break (averaging $1000) under Obama's plan than you will under McCains plan (average $300). But - there is a MUCH bigger piece of the puzzle than tax breaks. It's called the value of the dollar. Under Bush, and it would continue under McCain since he plans to continue the war at 10-12 billion a month spending, are dollar is falling because we are borrowing for this war. When you borrow, it's just like a tax - but worse. We pay for it over years. What happens is our dollar value goes down. The dollar is worth just 30 cents of what it was in 2000. That is the real reason Oil is so expensive today. Yes, there is more demand. But, they are pumping for that demand. The problem is that the dollar doesn't buy what it used to buy. You have to have economic sense to understand how the value of the dollar impacts your wallet MUCH more than taxes. Obama sees how it really works....and will make changes to make all our lives better.... while getting rid of the lobbysts influence. Only a fool wouldn't vote for him.
- The only thing I can figure is just plain stupidity. Or non-taxpayers that take advantage of all the freebie programs. Taxes going up won't effect them. In fact with Obama those who get their entire amount that is withheld from their income taxes back will probably get back even more than they paid in.
- OK. I just finished reading this and wonder if you've ever heard of Reader's Digest. You kicked out a novel faster than Stephen King.
- Hello ! you idiot ! the economy is screwed up so bad from you idiots , that you want us to vote for more punishment , u have lost your mind you and all the freaking Republicans that love to lie there way in to the office.......Lets see Bush for one and MCcain is his buddy ........
- Yes voting for someone that is for more taxes seems idiotic. However, how are we to pay down the federal deficit? All the money that George W. is spending has to be paid back at some point. As one person pointed out. Higher taxes are the bain of the Republicans. But it was under the watch of a Republican President that we have come to this economic disaster. To add insult to injury he promised Georgia a billion dollars. What say ye?
- "The Tax Policy Center estimates that Obama's proposals could cost the government up to $2.9 trillion in revenue over 10 years. McCain's could cost as much as $4.2 trillion" just one snippet out of many (from your own references) you left out. You are presenting information that is wrong and not even supported by your web sites. THere are so many errors in your list ... what right wing blog did you copy it from?? Obama plans to give larger tax breaks to those who earn the least. Taxes will go up somewhat on those who earn over $500,000/year. As far as the estate tax goes, I've always been intriged that the same people who bitch about all the poor people not working hard enough, not pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, are the same people who feel the need to leave their children millions of dollars. Can they not make it in the world after already having a great advantage and access to the best education, nutrition, health care for their entire young lives? No estate less than 1 million is taxed now. There have been very few, if any 'family farms' lost because of the estate tax. And then, if there were it would be easy enough to pass a law that estate taxes need not be paid on properties unless they are sold.
